Muni Gig Development, The All New Muni Young Promoters Team and Future Events in RCT and South Wales Wide!

SONIG is committed to supporting the development of a thriving live gig scene in Rhondda Cynon Taff. It is utilising the experience of high profile promoters from South Wales in order to bring exciting bands and pop acts to the Muni Arts Centre, Pontypridd with support bands being suggested and booked by the Muni's all new Young Promoters Team. SONIG is also planning to expand its gigging platforms for young bands, by working in partnership with RCT and South Wales wide venues, creating further opportunities for local aspiring bands to showcase their own original material.

If you are a young person aged between 14 and 25 and interested in becoming a part of the Muni's Young Promoters Team or alternatively are a band looking for gigs, please email .

Music, Art and Media Opportunities for Young People Living in the Looked After System in RCT

SONIG is currently working with young people living within the Looked After System in Rhondda Cynon Taff, with the aim of creating a positive welcome DVD for all young people entering care for the first time. Working with media professionals, our DVD media team will create the DVD from initial scriptwriting processes to editing the final cut! SONIG is also talking to organisations who work with young people in the looked after system to create a strategic action plan, looking at ways to ensure the arts is recognised as an important aspect of life for young people interested in the arts and living in care.

If you are a young person living in an RCT Community Home, interested in being on the Media Team described above or who has a positive experience of living in care that you would like to share, please contact Tanya Walker-Brown on:
